Steve McKinney, CIC

Steve, a graduate of Mississippi State University, has been associated with Galloway Chandler McKinney Insurance since 1975 and holds the title of Partner Emeritus.  He received the Certified Insurance Counselor designation in 1983 and has served in leadership positions on numerous civic and professional organizations, including the Board of Trustees, Palmer Home for Children; President, Clay County Industrial Development Corporation; Board of Trustees, West Point Municipal School System; Advisory Board, Peoples Bank & Trust and Agents Advisory Council, Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi.  Active in his church, Steve serves as an Elder of First Presbyterian, EPC, in West Point.  He and his wife, Becky, have two daughters, Lane McKinney and Ashley Chambliss (Chad) and two grandchildren, Avery and Charlie Chambliss.

Kyle Chandler III

Kyle is a partner in GCM and a graduate of the University of Mississippi, the Hartford School of Insurance and the United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company School of Insurance. He has served and held officer positions on numerous boards of directors and advisory boards including Cadence Bank of West Point and Clay County Federal Savings and Loan Association. He has also served on the Mississippi Economic Council and North Mississippi Medical Center’s boards. In Clay County his board leadership has included Rotary Club (where is is a Paul Harris Fellow), Chamber of Commerce, United Way, Economic Development Corporation, Economic Development District and the Educational Foundation.   Kyle is a past member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the Independent Insurance Agents of Mississippi. He is a member of the Episcopal Church as has served as warden and currently serves on the vestry. He has been named to the West Point Clay County Hall of Fame. Kyle is married to Susan Elizabeth Whetstone of Woodville, MS, and they have two sons, Kyle IV and Charlie, and six grandchildren.

Kyle Chandler IV, AIA, CIC

Kyle, has been with Galloway Chandler McKinney since 2008 and has been a partner since 2009. After graduating from The University of Mississippi, he worked with a firm in Jackson, MS, primarily focusing on commercial construction insurance and surety. He received his AIA designation in 2002 and his Certified Insurance Counselor designation in 2004. He has served, or is currently serving, in several leadership positions with civic or professional associations, among which are the Board of Directors, Associated Builders & Contractors of Mississippi; Board of Directors, North Mississippi Health Service Clay County; Board of Directors, West Point Clay County Growth Alliance and Board of Directors, Clay County Educational Foundation. He and his wife, Katie, have three children, Kyle, V (LK), Cora and Sam, and attend First Presbyterian Church, EPC, in West Point.

Tom Briggs, AFIS

Tom is a partner at Galloway Chandler McKinney Insurance Agency. He started his insurance career in 2007 after fourteen years in new car sales as a General Sales Manager. During his first year in the insurance business he received the “Mississippi / Georgia Rookie of the Year” award. He joined GCM in 2014. His primary focus is Agribusiness, Personal Lines and Small Business. Since joining GCM, Tom obtained the Agribusiness Farming Insurance Specialist designation. He is married to Mary Ann (Combs), and they have two children, Brett and Mary Beth. Tom is a member and serves on the board of directors of the Rotary Club, and has also served as a board member for Sally Kate Winters Family Services. He is an active member of First Baptist Church of West Point, where he has served on various committees. His hobbies include hunting, boating, camping and golf. He enjoys serving his customers with their insurance needs and spending quality time with his family and friends.

Lynn Decker

Lynn joined the GCM family in October 2017.  She is a graduate of West Point High School and received certificates in AIB Banking Courses.  Before coming to GCM, Lynn worked in the banking industry.  Her banking career expanded from 1985 to 2017.  She worked five years for BankFirst, 13 years for NBC/Cadence Bank and 14 years for First National Bank of West Point. During these years she worked in the bookkeeping department and served as a teller, a new accounts customer service representative and a loan assistant.  She has always enjoyed working with customers and co-workers.  Lynn and her husband, Eddie, are both natives of West Point, and have two daughters, one son-in-law and one granddaughter.  They are active members of Old Aberdeen Road Church of Christ in West Point.  Lynn enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends.

Danielle Marshall, CISR, CIC

Danielle joined the GCM Insurance family in July of 2004, focusing on commercial lines after working with Slaton Financial Group for 6 years. In her time with GCM, she has earned both her Certified Insurance Service Representative and Certified Insurance Counselor designations through the National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research. Danielle and her husband, both natives of West Point, have two daughters and attend Pinelake Church in Starkville. She is an avid reader who enjoys a trip to the beach or a weekend at Pickwick Lake.

Tennille Portera

Tennille, a graduate of East Mississippi Community College, has been with Galloway Chandler McKinney Insurance since July of 2013. Before coming to GCM, she was employed with Cadence Bank for fourteen years. During her time with Cadence, she served as a bank officer expanding her knowledge within several branches such as Collections and Bankruptcy, Portfolio Analytics, Appraisals, Credit Administration and Management in Branch Operations. Tennille and her husband have two children, and she is a member of First Baptist Church in West Point.

Lenora Scruggs

Lenora joined the GCM team in April 2014 with 3 years’ experience in personal lines. She is originally from Harvey, IL, and a graduate of Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville with a BA in Management Information Systems.  Lenora moved to Mississippi in 2006.  She loves running, biking and weight training.  She has a passion for helping others and is an active member of Finding Your Way through Christ Ministries Church in Starkville.

Natalie Wheeler, CIC

Natalie joined the GCM family in September 2012 after spending 20 years in the music wholesale industry.  Since joining GCM, she has earned the designation of Certified Insurance Counselor, and her primary focus is Agribusiness and Small Commercial.  Natalie is a native of West Point and a graduate of Mississippi State University.  She and her husband, Bill, have two children and are active members of First Presbyterian Church, EPC, in West Point.  She is an avid runner and enjoys reading.
